Scott Pickett’s film career began when he won First Prize at the Museum of Contemporary Arts Short Film Festival for an animation he made at high school. He is a graduate of the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts School of Film & Television where he made his short film The Rouseabout, which went on to screen at film festivals worldwide, won numerous awards and garnered nominations for Best Short Screenplay at the Australian Film Institute (AFI) Awards, and Best Emerging Talent at the Film Critics Circle of Australia. 

Scott also studied Directing at the Australian Film Television and Radio School and his graduating film, Shot Open, won a Golden Reel in Los Angeles, two Golds at the Australian Cinematographer’s Association Awards and was nominated for an APRA Award. 

Since leaving film school Scott has directed television drama, TV commercials, documentaries and music videos, as well as writing feature screenplays. His original story Living Breathing is being developed through Aquarius Films and Scott will direct.
